Business Development Manager — France (Remote)

About the job

You'd be our first person in France. If you build it right, you won't be the last.

France is the largest vacation rental market in Europe. We've already cracked other European markets. Now we need someone who knows France inside out to do it there.

With strong PMS partnerships and channel relationships already in place, what's missing is the person on the ground who can activate them, open the right doors, and make UpMarket a name that French property managers trust.

What you'd be doing

  • Activating our existing partner network to get in front of French property managers
  • Running demos and closing deals end-to-end — the product sells itself, your job is getting in the room
  • Identifying the events, communities, and channels that matter in the French VR market
  • Adapting our proven Spain playbook to the French market and making it yours
  • Coordinating with our technical team on SaaS integrations as deals progress

You'd report to our Head of Sales with full ownership of the French market.

You'll know if this is for you

  • 5+ years in B2B SaaS sales or business development in hospitality, proptech, or vacation rental tech
  • You've personally built a pipeline worth €500K+ from scratch 
  • Deep existing network among French property managers, VRM operators, or hospitality tech buyers — people who'd take your call today
  • Working knowledge of French VR regulatory landscape: Carte G, CLF/SPLM compliance, tourist tax reporting
  • You've worked trade events like IFTM Top Resa, Salon du Tourisme, or regional VR meetups 
  • Native-level French, professional English
  • Based in France

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience with PMSs like Avantio, Smoobu, Bedloop, Cloudbeds, or Lodgify
  • Sold into both independent operators and concierge agencies
  • Familiarity with WhatsApp Business API and guest communication workflows
