Position Overview

Service Account Executive (SAE)

The SAP Services organization in France is seeking a Service Account Executive (SAE) responsible for developing services sales opportunities and ensuring the successful delivery of value promised to customers through SAP solutions.

The SAE serves as a strategic advisor to key accounts, helping customers maximize the value of their SAP investments while driving consulting, implementation, transformation, and support services revenue.

This role combines enterprise sales, strategic account management, business transformation consulting, and cross-functional leadership.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Account Management

  • Manage and develop relationships with strategic customer accounts.

  • Act as a trusted advisor throughout the customer lifecycle.

  • Understand customer business objectives, transformation initiatives, and operational challenges.

Business Development & Services Sales

  • Develop account-specific business development plans.

  • Establish quarterly milestones to convert opportunities into revenue.

  • Identify and generate services opportunities that support customer transformation programs.

Consulting & Transformation Sales

Promote SAP Services offerings including:

  • Implementation services

  • Business transformation consulting

  • Technical services

  • Functional consulting

  • Support services

  • Cloud adoption and transformation programs

Help customers successfully execute strategic initiatives using SAP technologies.

Opportunity Management

  • Lead complex sales cycles from qualification through contract signature.

  • Build compelling value propositions aligned with customer business goals.

  • Ensure opportunities progress effectively through the sales pipeline.

Leadership of Extended Services Teams

Coordinate and lead multidisciplinary teams including:

  • Business Transformation Consultants

  • Functional Experts

  • Technical Experts

  • Services Delivery Teams

Ensure alignment between customer needs and SAP's service capabilities.

Value-Based Selling

  • Participate as a key member of the account's "Value Added Team."

  • Collaborate with account executives and solution teams.

  • Design customer-centric value propositions supporting SAP Cloud solutions and transformation initiatives.

Revenue & Performance Management

  • Achieve annual quantitative and qualitative targets.

  • Maintain visibility into sales pipeline progression.

  • Provide accurate forecasting and deal status reporting.


Required Qualifications

Enterprise Sales Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in complex enterprise sales environments.

  • Demonstrated success negotiating and closing:

    • SAP implementation contracts

    • SAP consulting engagements

    • SAP support and managed services agreements

Business Transformation Expertise

  • Experience designing service offerings that support large-scale business transformation initiatives.

  • Ability to connect technology investments with measurable business outcomes.

Strategic Consulting Mindset

  • Strong understanding of digital transformation strategies.

  • Ability to advise senior stakeholders on organizational change and modernization programs.

Leadership & Influence

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.

  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities.

  • Experience collaborating with customers, partners, and internal organizations.

Results Orientation

  • Strong track record of achieving revenue targets.

  • Customer-centric approach focused on delivering measurable value.
