Position Overview

Account Executive – Sports & Entertainment

As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for developing and growing a portfolio of customers across:

  • Professional sports clubs

  • Sports federations

  • Major event organizers

  • Entertainment organizations

This is a true hunter role focused on generating new business opportunities and managing the complete sales cycle from prospecting to contract signature.

You will play a key role in accelerating EVENTORI's growth across the European mid-market segment.


Key Responsibilities

Prospecting & Lead Qualification

  • Identify and prioritize target accounts.

  • Generate pipeline through:

    • Cold outreach

    • Email campaigns

    • Phone prospecting

    • LinkedIn outreach

    • Trade shows and events

    • Marketing-generated leads

  • Utilize growth-hacking techniques and modern prospecting tools.

  • Qualify opportunities based on customer use cases such as:

    • CRM

    • Ticketing

    • Fan engagement

    • Analytics

    • Revenue optimization


Sales Cycle Management

  • Follow the Wiremind / EVENTORI sales methodology.

  • Manage opportunities throughout the full sales process.

  • Conduct remote product demonstrations.

  • Lead pre-sales activities and discovery sessions.

  • Handle objections and negotiate commercial proposals.

  • Coordinate internal resources to create tailored customer solutions.

  • Drive opportunities through closing.

Customer Handover & Onboarding Support

  • Ensure seamless transition to Customer Success teams after contract signature.

  • Contribute to improving sales playbooks and methodologies.

  • Share best practices and successful approaches.

  • Help scale the commercial organization.


Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with:

  • Product Teams

  • Marketing Teams

  • Customer Success Teams

Responsibilities include:

  • Collecting customer feedback

  • Sharing market intelligence

  • Supporting industry-specific campaigns

  • Influencing product development priorities


CRM & Performance Management

  • Maintain accurate pipeline records in HubSpot.

  • Track KPIs and sales performance metrics.

  • Ensure strong forecasting discipline.


Required Qualifications

Sales Experience

  • 2–4 years of successful experience in:

    • B2B SaaS Sales

    • Software Sales

    • Technology Sales

  • Proven success in new business acquisition.


Enterprise & Mid-Market Selling

Experience managing:

  • Multi-stakeholder sales processes

  • Medium-length sales cycles (3–6 months)

Typical stakeholders include:

  • CEOs

  • CFOs

  • Ticketing Managers

  • Commercial Directors


Prospecting Expertise

  • Strong outbound prospecting skills.

  • Hunter mentality with a passion for business development.

  • Comfortable generating pipeline independently.


Communication Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

  • Ability to capture attention and build credibility.

  • Skilled at asking strategic discovery questions.

  • Strong proposal-writing capabilities.


Sales Technology Proficiency

Experience using:

  • CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred)

  • Sales automation tools

  • Outbound prospecting solutions
