The Role

Position: Account Executive (Expansion)

Sales Motion: Expansion and growth within existing enterprise accounts

The Account Executive (Expansion) is responsible for identifying growth opportunities, expanding strategic relationships, and driving additional revenue within enterprise Energy & Utilities customers.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Growth & Quota Achievement

  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets.

  • Expand Snowflake adoption across business units and use cases.
  • Drive additional revenue streams and long-term account growth.

Executive Relationship Management

  • Build trusted relationships with:

  • Conduct executive discovery and positioning meetings.

Consultative Selling

  • Understand customers' current and future IT strategies.

Pipeline Development

  • Prospect and qualify opportunities.
  • Create and manage a healthy pipeline.
  • Maintain momentum throughout the sales cycle.

Deal Management & Closing

  • Lead complex enterprise sales cycles.
  • Negotiate and close agreements.
  • Support customer onboarding and adoption.

Customer Success & Retention

  • Maintain ongoing account relationships.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-sell and expansion.

Marketing Collaboration

  • Partner with marketing teams on account-based initiatives.
  • Develop plans to accelerate growth within target accounts.

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS).
  • 5+ years of field sales experience.
  • Experience selling:
    • Data platforms
    • Cloud technologies
    • Enterprise software

Energy & Utilities Expertise

  • 3+ years focused on generating new business within:
    • Energy companies
    • Utility providers
    • Enterprise accounts in the sector

Sales Skills

  • Proven ability to:
    • Prospect
