Business Development Manager

About the Role

Lime is seeking a Business Development Manager to support the company's global growth and operational scaling through a combination of commercial execution, strategic planning, and analytical problem-solving.

This role focuses on driving internal workstreams that enable market launches, improve commercial processes, and evaluate new growth opportunities. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including:

  • Legal

  • Finance

  • Product & Engineering

  • Operations

  • Insurance

  • Customer Experience (CX)

The position requires strong analytical capabilities, commercial acumen, process management skills, and the ability to coordinate complex initiatives across multiple stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

Commercial Execution & Deal Operations

  • Own end-to-end commercial execution and internal deal operations.

  • Drive contracts through alignment, approvals, execution, and handoff to delivery teams.

  • Coordinate contract updates, amendments, renewals, and terminations.

  • Ensure documentation quality, compliance, and stakeholder alignment.

  • Maintain dashboards, trackers, and documentation to ensure visibility and accountability.

Launch Readiness & Operational Scaling

  • Ensure all commercial readiness requirements are completed before launches.

  • Coordinate seamless transitions between commercial, technical, and operational teams.

  • Resolve post-launch commercial issues, including invoicing discrepancies and scope alignment.

  • Partner with Finance and Operations teams to ensure successful execution.

  • Improve onboarding and handoff processes to accelerate delivery and reduce friction.

Strategic Growth Initiatives

  • Support the development of adjacent growth opportunities that improve access, economics, and operational efficiency.

  • Conduct structured opportunity assessments, including:

    • Market sizing

    • Operational feasibility analysis

    • Risk assessment

    • Pilot design and evaluation

  • Define success metrics and support pilot implementation.

Business & Financial Analysis

  • Develop business cases and financial models to evaluate:

    • Pricing strategies

    • ROI scenarios

    • Unit economics

    • New initiative performance

  • Analyze operational and commercial data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

  • Deliver actionable recommendations to support decision-making.

Process Improvement & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Drive collaboration across multiple departments.

  • Create scalable templates, playbooks, governance frameworks, and best practices.

  • Continuously improve operational and commercial processes.


Required Qualifications

Professional Experience

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:

    • Business Development

    • Commercial Strategy

    • Business Operations

    • Consulting

    • Commercial Operations

Strategic & Analytical Skills

  • Strong strategic mindset with the ability to structure and solve ambiguous business problems.

  • Advanced analytical capabilities and comfort working with complex datasets.

  • Ability to translate analysis into business decisions and measurable outcomes.

Financial & Business Modeling

  • Strong financial modeling skills, including:

    • ROI analysis

    • Unit economics

    • Scenario planning

    • Sensitivity analysis

  • Experience developing business cases and investment recommendations.

Stakeholder Management

  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Ability to influence and drive progress without direct authority.

  • Strong project coordination and execution abilities.

Communication Skills

  • Excellent written communication and documentation skills.

  • Experience producing:

    • Decision memos

    • Business specifications

    • Process documentation

    • Operational trackers

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting operational launches or integration projects involving multiple teams.

  • Familiarity with mobility platforms, marketplaces, or technology-enabled operations.

  • Experience improving contract management, onboarding processes, and cross-functional workflows.
