As a Business Development Representative (France), you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, building strong relationships with prospective customers and partners, and contributing to revenue growth across the French market. You will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Partner and Product teams to expand Shopware’s footprint in France.
Prospecting & Lead Generation: Identify and qualify new leads through outbound outreach (cold calls, emails, social selling) and engage inbound inquiries.
Market Development: Build and expand new business pipelines within the French e-commerce landscape.
Qualify & Nurture Opportunities: Qualify potential customers based on needs, business fit, and readiness to engage; prepare opportunities for hand-off to Account Executives and Partner teams.
CRM & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all activity in the CRM system (e.g., HubSpot), track prospect engagement metrics, and report on pipeline development.
Collaboration: Provide actionable market insights to Marketing and Product teams on customer needs, competitive dynamics, and trends to support go-to-market strategies.
Event Representation: Represent Shopware at local events, conferences, and meet-ups to increase brand visibility and generate qualified leads.
Proven Sales Oriented Experience: Degree in Business, Marketing, or related; 1–3 years experience in sales, business development, or lead generation — ideally in SaaS or e-commerce software.
French Market Expertise: Strong understanding of digital agencies, system integrators and e-commerce ecosystem in France; fluent in French and professional in English.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English and strong presentation skills.
CRM & Tools Savvy: Experience using CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce etc.) and sales engagement tools.
Self-Driven & Organized: Entrepreneurial mindset, ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced international environment.
