IAR is undergoing a strategic shift from selling standalone embedded development tools to offering a comprehensive, subscription-based platform. As an Account Executive, you will champion this transition by migrating existing customers to our new platform while also managing the full sales cycle for new business acquisition. You will navigate complex, 3-to-4-month enterprise sales cycles, articulating a technical value proposition that resonates with stakeholders ranging from engineers to DevOps and VPs.
Your time will be split evenly between "hunting" and "migrating." You will pursue new customers by strategically mining our extensive database, engaging through webinars and events, and responding to inbound requests. The other half of your time will focus on transitioning loyal users from perpetual licensing to our subscription model, providing them with broader access to our full suite of tools.
Who are we looking for?
As a sales professional, you are great at qualifying opportunities, ensuring every deal is well‑positioned from the start by asking the discovery questions that reveal a customer’s real priorities. You have the technical aptitude and curiosity to hold credible, value-focused conversations with anybody, navigating topics like MCUs, debuggers, and device security.
Moreover, you are a confident collaborator who works comfortably not just with French clients but communicating value effectively to customer across the wider EMEA region. Above all, you treat your territory like it is your own business and can manage your own schedule without the need for micromanagement.
To suceed in this role you will need:
Intermediate level direct sales experience (approximately 5 – 7 years) in Software, targeting medium-to-large customer segments and confidence in selling to technical stakeholders.
A track record of exceeding quarterly and annual software and services sales quotas.
Experience successfully navigating long enterprise sales cycles involving multiple touchpoints, as well as shorter more transactional sales cycles.
Proven background and technical credibility within the embedded market is not a strict requirement, but highly preferable (adjacent backgrounds are robotics, manufacturing, IoT, MedTech or automotive).
International sales experience and the ability to operate with cross-cultural autonomy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English
