Job Description

Salesforce is at the forefront of digital transformation within the public sector. Our dedicated Local Government team is one of the most dynamic in the region.

We are seeking an Account Executive to drive Salesforce's growth across:

  • Municipalities

  • Departmental Councils

  • Regional Councils

  • Local Public Institutions

The successful candidate will build and maintain strategic relationships with key decision-makers throughout France's local public sector.


Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Manage full sales cycles from prospecting and qualification through contract signature.

  • Demonstrate the value of the Salesforce platform to local public sector organizations.

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to win new business and expand existing customer relationships.

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue high-value opportunities.

Opportunity Management

  • Maintain accurate pipeline and opportunity tracking within Salesforce.

  • Forecast and manage sales activities effectively.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with pre-sales, technical, and partner teams to ensure customer success.

  • Coordinate resources to support successful solution delivery and adoption.


Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience selling complex solutions, preferably SaaS software.

  • Experience managing long and complex sales cycles.

  • Strong ability to identify, qualify, and manage high-value opportunities involving multiple stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to engage effectively with senior executives and decision-makers.

  • Fluency in French and English.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of procurement processes and strategic challenges faced by French Local Government organizations.

  • Experience using structured sales methodologies such as:

    • MEDDIC

    • Challenger Sale

    • Similar enterprise sales frameworks

  • Experience developing business cases and building strategic partner alliances.
